How to Measure Your Ring Size

There are several ways to measure your ring size, but keep in mind that your fingers can swell or shrink during the day and between seasons. A wider ring typically requires a slightly larger size.

Measure an Existing Ring
Use a caliper or place the ring on a ruler to measure its inner diameter in millimeters. The size corresponds to the measurement in millimeters.

Measure Your Finger Circumference
Cut a strip of paper approximately 5 mm wide and wrap it around your finger. Mark where the ends meet, then measure the length with a ruler. Divide the circumference by pi (3.14) to calculate the diameter. For example, if your finger's circumference is 55 mm:

55 mm/3.14=17.51 mm (size 17.5)55 \, \text{mm} / 3.14 = 17.51 \, \text{mm (size 17.5)}

If you need a custom size, such as 17.25, send me an email, and I’ll make it happen. Otherwise, I offer whole and half sizes in my webshop.

Use a Ring Sizing App
Download an app like Ring Sizer on your phone. Place a ring on your screen, and the app will help you measure the inner diameter in millimeters.
